By putting evidence-based health innovations into everyday practice, Jhpiego works to break down barriers to high-quality health care for the world's most vulnerable populations. Jhpiego is implementing a number of projects in Tanzania and wishes to recruit the following positions:

1. Position: Associate Director of Implementation and Results Management - [1 position based in Mwanza]
Position Overview: The Associate Director of Implementation and Results management (ADIRM) will work under the leadership of the Deputy Chief of Party to ensure overall aspects of field program implementation of USAID Boresha Afya-Lake and Western Zone including; work planning, execution, monitoring, documentation and reporting. The incumbent will be responsible for building and maintaining working relationship with Local Government authorities (LGAs), project sub-partners, collaborative partners and stakeholders across the supported program regions and districts. S/he will lead a team of Regional Managers and Coordinators to achieve project results while ensuring efficient budget and other resources utilization based on needs for the supported regions. The ADIRM will work closely with the Technical Director to ensure excellence and integrity of program approaches during implementation. S/he will also collaboratively work with key support departments including operations, finance, procurement, IT, warehouse, and transport to ensure operations at regional field offices are running smoothly.

Required Qualifications: 
• Master's degree in public health or other related disciplines
• Expertise in implementing and managing RMNCH and/or Malaria programs
• At least 7 years' experience managing health programs at regional or national level, including planning, designing, budgeting, supervising, evaluating and documenting results
• Good analytical, report writing and presentation skills
• Skills and knowledge in program sustainability and capacity building.
• Skills and knowledge in quality of care assessment and assurance tools.
• Experience managing donor funded projects, with vast knowledge on US Rules and Regulation.
• Extensive knowledge of the local health systems from the national to the local levels

• Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills, inspiring teamwork and motivating staff to achieve results
• Demonstrated self-management (i.e. motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability)
• Ability to develop productive working relationships with counterparts in other agencies and organizations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while working as part of a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili
• Proven experience in the writing of abstracts, proposals and reports
• Computer literacy, particularly in the use of MS word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Availability and willingness to travel up to 30% of time

2. Position: Senior Technical Officer- RMNCH and Malaria - [1 position based in Zanzibar]
Position Overview: 
This position will provide technical support on maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH), malaria including Malaria in Pregnancy (MiP) and Family Planning (FP) interventions in Unguja and Pemba Islands. The Sr. Technical officer will provide technical support in developing/adopting technical content while focusing implementation in a health facilities under the support of the USAID Boresha Afya Project. The position roles will cover the Project needs assessment, design, execution, monitoring and evaluation. Human resource capacity building for quality clinical services will be a core. Hence the Senior Technical Officer will work closely with the zonal, regional, district and health management teams to ensure delivery of quality family planning, maternal, newborn and child health services at health facilities, while linking with other initiatives in communities. S/he will coordinate integrated supportive supervision, coaching, on-job-training and mentoring to enhance adherence to service protocols and standards; and data collection for service improvement.
