OverviewThe Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Dar es Salaam is looking for a Front-Desk Officer (m/f) from 1st March 2019
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving and taking care of the Embassy’s visitors
- Managing the Embassy’s telephone exchange
- Handling, reviewing and monitoring of incoming bills and invoices for the administrative section
- Preparing the monthly application of VAT refunds of the Embassy
- Arranging appointments for all sections of the Embassy
- Sending and receiving mail and documents from the courier services

Required Qualifications, Experience, and Personal Attributes:
- Excellent oral and written knowledge of English, Kiswahili and good knowledge of the German Language
- Polite and professional manner in interaction with visitors and callers
- Proven work experience in a similar role
- Pronounced flexibility and excellent interpersonal and team working skills
- Good accounting and mathematics skills
- Highly IT-literate with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially word and excel)
- Willingness to be flexible in your hours of work and possibly also work overtime
