Overview
Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) is in the process of revamping its operations and has introduced new equipment to its fleet as part of implementation of its five years Corporate Strategic Plan (2017/2018- 2020-2021). In line with this expansion, the Company is also making some reforms in its structure, internal operations and staffing to accommodate the needs of its business expansion. Therefore, applications are invited from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following positions:-

Position: ICT OFFICER (SYSTEM SECURITY) (1 POST)
The following are qualifications for aspired candidates:- 
Entry Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Information Technology/ Information System /Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent relevant qualification
  • Must have at least three (3) years working experience of two years in a similar field in a competitive business environment
  • Sound knowledge Tanzania cyber legal and regulatory framework, industry standards and regulations in relation to information and communication technology security and compliance.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networks and security requirements
  • Proven ability to perform vulnerability analysis and penetration testing.
  • Proven ability to operate and manage Windows/UNIX/Linux systems
  • Proven ability to write and use scripts in bash, Perl and python scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of Security Standards such as BS7799, ISO 27001/2 and e-Government standards and guidelines.
  • Certification in ICT security field such as CEH, ECSA, LPT, CISA, CISSP, CISM, OCSP
  • and CSX-CP is desirable
  • Candidates with relevant airline experience will be given preference.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement/enforce security policies, standards and related e-Government controls and assess their compliance;
  • Conduct internal and external security assessments (Vulnerability analysis and penetration testing) and Information systems audits;
  • Develop and implement security awareness and trainings;
  • Develop, implement and upgrade measurable security control and monitoring measures for the Government;
  • Analyze, assess and advice on security risks in e-Government;
  • Coordinate security efforts with other Government Institutions;
  • Analyse and respond to security incidents related to the government;
  • Recommend and install appropriate security tools and countermeasures;
  • Analyse and manage information from systems/application logs and network intrusion detection and prevention systems;
  • Operate and manage security systems and tools;
  • Assist the Manager in protection of Government digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification or destruction; and
  • Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor.

REMUNERATION:
Attractive remuneration and Fringe Benefits as per ATCL Scales and Incentive Scheme. 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Five (5) years contract (renewable) upon successful performance for Manager Revenue Management and Network Planning and ICT Officers and Six (6) months Specific Task Contract for a Clerk of Works which might be extended depending on the completion of the Projects.

  2. Certified copies of all certificates (including Secondary School), other relevant certificates and licenses. (Tanzanian applicants who have studied outside Tanzania should have their certificates approved by relevant authorities i.e Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) or National Examination Council- NECTA))
  3. Two recent passport size photographs;
  4. Names and addresses of at least two reputable referees;
  5. Applicant’s reliable contact address, email address and telephone numbers.
  6. The applicant must indicate willingness to work upcountry when need be.
