Job Title: Factory Operations Manager

Alliance One is looking to recruit an experienced Factory Operations Manager.
The successful applicant will report to the Factory’ Director
Key responsibilities
- Manage the Production Department with overall responsibility’ for optimizing factory’ operation efficiencies and product performance.
- Maintain effective communication with service departments and with third party’ processors and international customers on all processing related issues.
- Manage the Production Department budget.
- Setup the Production Line to achieve Customer Specifications.
- Minimise incidents of None Conforming Product.
- Monitor effective utilization of resources through work instruction programs.
- Collaborate with Engineering and develop predictive maintenance programs to minimize Down-Tune.
- Contribution as a Top Team member, to the development of the company strategies and achievement of key company objectives
- Manage Production EHS programs.
The Person
The successful candidate must have excellent managerial skills and the ability to relate to a diverse group of people.

Qualifications & Experience
- Although not essential, a diploma or degree in an Engineering would be advantageous.
- At least 8-years’ experience in a similar post, of which, 5 years, should be at a senior level in a busy industrial, processing environment.
- A sound working knowledge of Tobacco Processing techniques – threshing and redrying.
- Sound comprehension of financial controls and budgeting is essential.
- Competent computer literacy – MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- This is a senior post and the job offers a competitive pay and benefits package.
