Gracie went for a morning walk and met her old friend Suzie and her daughter Jennie after a long time. Gracie asked Suzie how old is Jennie to which Jennie replied “In two years I will be twice as old as I was three years ago”. How old is Jennie?

Explaination: Let Jennie’s current age be x yrs
Therefore after 2 yrs she will be x+2 and 3 yrs ago she was x-3
By the problem,
2(x-3)=x+2
or, 2x-6=x+2
or, x=8
Therefore after 2 yrs she will be x+2 and 3 yrs ago she was x-3
By the problem,
