CONSULTANCY POSITIONS FOR FSSP TECHNICAL SPECIALISTS
PricewaterhouseCoopers Limited (PwC) invites eligible candidates to indicate their interests to provide the following consultancy Services to the Field Support Services Project (FSSP) Tanzania. 

Position: Infrastructure Technical Specialist
The Infrastructure Technical Specialist will provide support and advice on infrastructure activities undertaken by Global Affairs Canada-funded international assistance initiatives.

Candidates will be evaluated based on the following key qualifications and experience:
  • Master’s degree in architecture, construction management, civil engineering, environmental engineering or other relevant fields;
  • Proven experience of 5 years or more in planning OR implementing public infrastructure projects, preferably in rural settings;
  • An understanding of integrating gender equality considerations relevant to infrastructure planning and implementation in the health and/or education sector(s), will be an asset; and
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience providing coordination support to any of the following organisations: government, development partners, non-governmental organizations.

In addition to the key qualifications above, the incumbent should also demonstrate the following skills and competencies:
  • Advanced professional proficiency in English;
  • General professional proficiency in Kiswahili;

Position: Communications Technical Specialist
The communications technical specialist (firm or individual, one or multiple) will provide support and advice on communications for GAC-funded international assistance initiatives. The technical specialist will be expected to produce or package communications material that supports partners’ communications efforts. This material could cover individual projects, or multiple projects relating to a specific sector, theme, partners, geographic area or key message. 

Candidates will be evaluated based on the following key qualifications and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or another relevant discipline from a recognized university;
  • Evident certification in using Photoshop or similar image editing system;
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in communications or public relations for projects of similar scope;
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience providing communications related analysis, advice and recommendations to the Government of Tanzania and/or development partners;
  • Experience in developing, implementing communications strategies and reviewing progress against communications plans; and
  • Knowledge of Tanzanian government’s communications laws and policies.
In addition to the key qualifications above, the incumbent should also demonstrate the following skills and competencies:
  • Advanced professional proficiency in English;
  • General professional proficiency in Kiswahili;
