About Geita Town
Geita is a town in northwestern Tanzania. It is the administrative headquarters of the newly created Geita Region. It is located 90 Km west of Mwanza. The town was a prominent site for gold mining by the German colonial government. The mineral resource was discovered by a German gold prospector.
