Overview

The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) is a quasi-independent Government body responsible for regulating the Communications and Broadcasting sectors in Tanzania. It was established under the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Act No.12 of 2003 to regulate the electronic communications, and Postal services, and management of the national frequency spectrum in the United Republic of Tanzania. The Authority became operational on 1st November 2003 and effectively took over the functions of the now-defunct Tanzania Communications Commission (TCC) and Tanzania Broadcasting Commission (TBC) respectively.

For effective implementation of its duties and responsibilities the Authority hereby invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies in its establishment.

Job Position: MARKETING OFFICER II (Three Positions)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage referral complaint centre (call centre);

• Respond and record TCRA customer complaints for supervisor’s action;

• Advise consumers on complaints handling procedures;

• Receive and provide feedback relating to referred complaints

• Support TCRA- CCC and other Consumer organizations in consumer Education;

• Assist in the process of conduct mediation between aggrieved consumers and service providers;

• Assist to conduct awareness for persons with special needs;

• Assist to promote consumer awareness on regulatory activities that will add value to the Industry.

• Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications

A holder of Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Commerce, Education or Business Administration majoring in Marketing or equivalent qualification from recognized institutions.

• Excellent analytical skills;

• Excellent command of English and Kiswahili languages;

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player with good interpersonal skills;

• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and manage complex and delicate tasks;

• Results and Performance-Driven with commitment to realization of the Authority’s Strategic objectives; and

• Proactive, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

B: Desirable:

• A person with good communication skills, orally articulate, good written communication skills, a good writer, good analyzer and good listener;

• Ability to draw reasonable, logical conclusions or assumptions from limited information;

• Display a great deal of creativity in problem-solving and pays attention to details;
