which is a newly established agency is also responsible for the
development and sustainable management of water supply and sanitation
projects and water service delivery in rural areas. The agency has been
established by the new Water Supply and Sanitation Act No. 5 of 2019,
which becomes effective on 01 July 2019.

is meant to improve supervision of water projects and services in the
rural areas and the national water fund responsible for sourcing monies
for implementation of water projects will also be established
