The Office of the Chief Government Statistician (OCGS) - Zanzibar conducted the National School Health and Nutrition Survey (SHNS) in 2022. This was the first survey that collected health and nutrition information among school-age children (5-9), early adolescents (10–14 years) and late adolescents (15–19 years) in both primary and secondary schools in Zanzibar.

To support wider dissemination both within and outside the country as well as enhancing knowledge management three manuscripts are to be drafted for submission to peer review journals
