LATRA New Bus fares Tanzania 2023/2024 The Land Transport Regulatory Authority (LATRA) has announced a new fare for urban and long-distance buses where trips that do not exceed 10 kilometers will cost TZS 600 instead of TZS 500.
Trips that exceed 10 kilometers, i.e. 11 kilometers to 15 kilometers will now be TZS 700 instead of TZS 550, 16 kilometers to 20 kilometers the fare will be 800 instead of 600, 21 kilometers to 25 kilometers whose fare is TZS 700, the fare will be TZS 900 and kilometers 26 to 30 km the fare will be 1,100 TZS from 850 TZS, 31 km to 35 km the fare will be 1,300 instead of 1,000 and 36 km to 40 km the fare will be 1,400 instead of 1,100.
LATRA has said that in terms of student fares, the cost remains 200 shillings as before. In addition, LATRA has directed drivers to follow the procedures and conditions given, including not charging the recommended fare as well as observing cleanliness by spraying pesticides to kill insects on cars.
