Job Type: Full-time
Are you an experienced driver with solid mechanical skills? We are looking for a Mechanical Driver to join our team and support our field operations across Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular maintenance and mechanical repairs on company vehicles, especially project-related cars.
Travel to various project sites across different regions of Tanzania to provide mechanical support.
Conduct routine inspections, diagnose mechanical issues, and ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns in the field, providing immediate troubleshooting and repair.
Accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
Ensure all vehicles comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Drive company vehicles to transport personnel, tools, and materials as required by project needs.
Advise management on vehicle conditions and suggest proactive maintenance solutions.
Keep tools and mechanical equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Valid Tanzanian Driving License
A candidate must have at least form four Certificate
Ability to speak both English and Swahili Language
Proven experience of 3 years in automotive mechanics, vehicle diagnostics, and repair.
Ability to travel extensively and work in remote regions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
Good communication and record-keeping skills.
Basic knowledge of vehicle electrical systems is an added advantage.
