Performance and Training Manager
Performance and Training Manager at VisionFund Tanzania Microfinance Bank Ltd (VFT MFB)
Work Reference No. 16/25Position: Performance and Training Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Reporting to: Head of People, Culture and Administration.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Performance management of the organization to ensure quality FY strategy aligned goal setting for all staff, timely and quality periodic appraisals of the performance.
- Oversee and guide Line Managers consequence management for underperformance.
- Oversee recognition and incentives for performance.
- Coach Managers and staff on all matters relating to Performance Management.
- Analysis of trends in performance and recommend action plans to Management.
- Ensures optimal utilization of performance management systems.
- Periodic evaluation of the effectiveness of the existing performance management system and making necessary changes/adjustments.
- Oversee Learning and development for all employees. Conduct competence assessments to identify competences required for each role and assess current gaps for learning/training interventions. Conduct learning needs assessment for the organization and create the annual learning & development calendar and monitor implementation. Propose and oversee the training budget. Conduct pre and post learning assessments.
Main tasks:

- Guide Line Managers consequence management for underperformance through Performance Improvement plans (PIPs).
- Oversee recognition and incentives based on performance.
- Coach Managers and staff on all matters relating to Performance Management.
- Analysis of trends in performance and recommend action plans to Management. Ensures optimal utilization of performance management systems.
- Oversee Learning and development for all employees.
- Conduct competence assessments to identify competences required for each role and assess current gaps for learning/training interventions.
- Conduct learning needs assessment for the organization and create the annual learning & development calendar and monitor implementation.
- Propose and oversee the training budget.
- Conduct pre and post learning assessments to ensure learning aha taken place.
- Assist in the coordination of strategic and operational activities within the organisation including project support, collation of information, reporting and data analysis
- Attends Regional Managers meetings
- Provide support to the Management in achieving the organizational Strategic Plan including reviewing performance against the strategic objectives and tracking of the organization’s work plan by division
- Ensure periodic all staff recognition events to promote employee engagement and motivation for performance in building as high performance culture.
- Administer incentives and rewards in recognition of performance.
- Oversee succession planning for management and critical roles and implement learning and nonlearning interventions for identified successors.
- Responsible for ensuring the collection, reporting and analysis of all organizational information relating to performance and quality.
- Develop and prepare business performance dashboards and analysis

Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration or related fields.
- Master’s in Business Administration (HRM) is an advantage. Very good knowledge of oral & written English. Very good analytical & reporting skills. Job Type: Full-time
- At least 5 years’ experience in People and Culture management.
- Good knowledge of VFT, WV &VFI Partnership.
- Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team Proficient in Microsoft office application Excellent trainer, facilitator, mentor and coach.
- Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Capacity & willingness to take responsibility and develop sense of rectitude Familiar with Core business. Models and demonstrates effective Christian leadership and able to lead daily devotions.
Digital Project Manager
Position: Digital Project Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Reporting to: Head of Business Development and Innovation
Job Purpose
The position holder’s primary responsibility is managing technological change from operational standpoint through a structured change management process with an end goal of enabling VisionFund Tanzania to move paperless operation. The role will involve leading VisionFund Tanzania through digital transformation in banking and loan process through working with various technological solution providers and IT department. The position conducts in-depth analysis of the processes and design an efficient digital process that complies to local regulation.
Main tasks
Review and propose efficient technological change that can digitally transform VFT operation from front end to Back end
Run the IT projects in accordance with the Visionfund project management framework.
Work with all stakeholder to ensure all change gates (decision point) and project documents there off are adhered to approval requirement are met prior to projects proceeding to next phases
Responsible for day to day management and coordination of the IT projects deliverables in the
VFT specifically ensuring that
Business process changes required for projects roll out are well documented and signed off
All VFT staff are trained on new processes, and everyone understands how their role and way of business doing will change and why
Relevant teams are involved in the testing of solution
The IT project roll out plan is clearly articulated, and all roll out pre- requisites are in place
In charge of the IT projects plan, tracks plan against actual deliverable and update the project plan in smart sheet on weekly basis
change management lead for LMMS project that involve preparation of Business concept, budget break down and project timeline.
Daily supervisor of the implementation of digital transformation project including LMMS, CRM, interbank system etc.
Responsible for innovation around Conversion of paper based forms and templates to digital platform.

Qualifications:
- Graduate with a relevant degree or higher in IT or BSc in computer science or in management (or equivalent)
- Certificate in project management (PMP certificate) is must
- Basic to advance knowledge in project tools/Office tools (MS word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project MS Vision, MS Publisher)
- Significant experience in analyzing business process and creating requirement specification documentation for system design. Job Type: Full-time
- Analytical and problem solving skill, good attention to detail- core capability
- Minimum of 3 year working experience in project management
Experience
- Good working knowledge of financial procedures and application
- Understanding of banking practice and related policy issue, their implication and application.
- Experience in project management and change management
- Knowledge in Banking/credit Operation and with clear understanding of VFT operational process.
- An understanding of payment systems methodologies and implementations
