Position: Project Facilitator
Job Type: Full-time
Purpose of the Position
To support implementation of project activities aimed at empowering Domestic Workers through training, community engagement, economic strengthening, and coordination with local government authorities. The Project Facilitator supports the implementation of the Domestic Workers Project at community, ward, and district levels. The role focuses on coordination with CHODAWU Regional secretaries,’ government and community stakeholders, beneficiary engagement, activity documentation, and reporting to ensure effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
1. Mobilize domestic workers and community members to participate in project activities.
2. Facilitate recruitment of DWs to attend vocational training session
3. Support identification and recruitment of beneficiaries/ Domestic workers to become members of CHODAWU and branch formations
4. Coordinate with CHODAWU Regional Secretaries Ward Officials, Community Development Officers, and local leaders in recruitment of Domestic workers to join CHODAWU branches
5. Monitor progress of beneficiaries including training attendance and project activity progress.
6. Provide coaching and follow-up to domestic workers receiving microcredit or revolving funds. 7. Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly field reports.
8. Support data collection, verification and documentation case management/ best practices/ lesson learned from the regions in collaboration with Domestic worker leaders and CHODAWU regional office
9. Facilitate group formation, savings groups, and peer-support meetings. (Branch Meetings)
10. Support conflict resolution and mediation within groups or between domestic workers and employers when required, in collaboration with CHODAWU leaders and local authorities.
11. Facilitate awareness sessions on workers’ rights, gender equality, financial literacy, occupational safety, and access to local services.
12. Strengthen relationships with local authorities, employers, community leaders, and service providers to improve the visibility and support of domestic workers.
13. In collaboration with the Project Coordinator, act as a liaison to foster and maintain official relationships between CVM and senior government officials and project stakeholders in Dodoma.
14. Ensure accurate and timely data entry and record-keeping for all project beneficiaries and implemented activities
15. Rovide logistical support for project activities, including training preparation, meeting organization, and mobilization.
16. Identify challenges, gaps, and risks in project implementation and propose solutions to supervisors and the CHODAWU regional office.
17. Support monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities, including surveys, interviews, and field assessments, in coordination with the supervisor.
18. Promote sustainability of branches and groups, helping domestic workers gradually gain leadership, management, and decision-making capacity.
19. Represent the project professionally in community forums, meetings, and dialogues related to domestic workers’ rights and welfare. Administration and Management:
20. In collaboration with the Project Coordinator, support the management of financial resources allocated for project activities, ensuring proper, transparent, and compliant use according to organizational procedures
21. Ensure proper management of project materials, office supplies, and equipment, and report any needs for replenishment or repairs to the Project Coordinator
22. Maintain an orderly and professional working environment at the field office, ensuring adherence to safety and safeguarding standards.
23. Support logistical and administrative arrangements for staff field missions, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
24. Ensure compliance with organizational administrative procedures, data protection protocols, and ethical guidelines in all office-related tasks.
25. Support basic office administration tasks, including maintaining organized files, records, and documentation related to project activities and beneficiaries
26. Support human resources management by assisting in staff coordination, tracking attendance, facilitating onboarding and induction of new staff, and ensuring compliance with organizational HR policies. Skills and Abilities required:
27.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with domestic workers, community leaders, local authorities, and project stakeholders.
28. Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills, capable of working collaboratively in diverse teams and managing conflicts sensitively.
29. Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks and project activities efficiently, including community mobilization, training, and reporting.
30. Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data from the field, document lessons learned, and provide actionable recommendations.
31. Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify challenges and risks in project implementation and propose practical, timely solutions.
32.Training and Facilitation: Experience in facilitating workshops, awareness sessions, and peer-support meetings with diverse groups.
33.Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E): Basic knowledge of M&E principles, including data collection, reporting, and use of feedback for project improvement.
34.Digital Literacy: Proficiency in using computers, Microsoft Office, and data entry systems for reporting and documentation.
35.Financial Awareness: Understanding of financial procedures and ability to support proper management of project resources.
36.Safeguarding and Ethics: Strong commitment to safeguarding, gender equality, protection, and ethical standards in all project activities.
37.Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to work under pressure, in changing environments, and travel to field locations as required. Education Background:
38.Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Human Resource Management, Education, or a related field.
39. A diploma or certificate in Project Management, Community Mobilization, or Gender Studies is an added advantage.

Safeguarding, Protection, and Gender Equality:
The Project Facilitator is responsible for upholding the highest safeguarding standards in all interactions with beneficiaries, community members, and project stakeholders. This includes ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for domestic workers particularly women, youth, and other vulnerable groups by preventing any form of exploitation, abuse, discrimination, or harm.
 
The Facilitator must strictly follow the organization’s Safeguarding and Protection Policies, promptly report any safeguarding concerns to the supervisor or designated focal point, and support awareness-raising activities to promote safe participation in all project initiatives.

The role also requires maintaining confidentiality, exercising professional boundaries, and reinforcing gender equality principles in all engagements, training sessions, and community dialogues.
