Overview
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is an International Non-Governmental Organization working in 40 countries, responding to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives.

With funding from donor governments, institutions, companies and individual supporters we strive to support people meet their basic rights with dignity and to be protected. In Tanzania, the IRC supports refugees and Tanzanian people in- and – out of camps with education, health, and protection services.
We are currently recruiting a number of senior management roles. If you have excellent strategic vision, professional skills, an understanding and leadership experience in humanitarian or development work with a cutting-edge outlook, willingness to take action to have a positive impact for the clients we serve, then please consider applying for the following positions: 

Financial Controller (1)
Reporting to the Country Director, this is a key leadership role, requiring a high-level strategic thinker with an excellent financial background and a good understanding, and commitment to the objectives of the IRC.
If you have led finance teams in large organizations, have a good understanding of NGO’s and donors with whom we work, then this could be the role for you.

Human Resource Coordinator (1)
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the HR function for over 200 staff and 2000 volunteers across the Tanzania Country Programme. The HR Coordinator will manage the HR team to ensure efficient and high-quality staff recruitment, contracts management, orientation, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, policy and labor law compliance, employee engagement and staff care.

The position acts as an HR advisor to the Senior Management Team (SMT). The HR Coordinator reports to the Country Director for Tanzania and the Regional HR Director, who is based in Kenya. The position is a key member of the Senior Management Team, if you have what it takes, apply for the position.

Senior Manager – Protection and Rule of Law (1)
The Protection and Rule of Law Senior Manager leads the IRC’s efforts to meet conflict-affected people’s safety and protection needs, reducing risk and responding to cases of violence, coercion, and deprivation, as well as mainstreaming protection throughout the IRC’s response in Tanzania. Safety is a signature part of the IRC’s strategy in Tanzania. The Protection and Rule of Law Senior Manager will define and manage a clear direction, drive forward implementation and ensure robust and effective management and oversight to best meet the needs and aspirations of local communities and accountability to stakeholders.

If you have experience in legal and human rights programming with a strong background in working with vulnerable populations specifically Persons with Specific Needs (PSN), this could be an opportunity to contribute to national disability agenda.

Child Protection Coordinator (1)
This position will be responsible for the overall implementation of the Child and youth protection and development program (CYPD) in the camps of Nyarugusu, host community and National engagement including monitoring and ensuring program quality in line with child protection guiding principles and best practices. The role will lead on all CYPD representation and advocacy nationally; act as the main liaison with UNHCR’s Child Protection technical lead, other IRC technical coordinators and senior management, as well as leading all Child protection and youth proposal development and reporting.

The coordinator will ensure internal and external collaboration including acting as lead to the CPIMS (Child Protection Information Management System) task force and active member of the Child Protection Sub Working Group in the region.
If you have a strong mix of humanitarian and national engagement experience in Child Protection, Youth development work, you are encouraged to apply.

Grants Coordinator (1)
The Grant Coordinator will assist in the development of all proposals, responsible for tracking, coordinating the development, and submissions of all donor reports. The role reports to Deputy Director for Programs and contributes to program design and monitoring and evaluation initiatives, fundraising and developing new programs in refugee camps (in Western Tanzania), in host and National development agenda.

If you have proven skills in private sector and institutional fundraising, donor engagement and report writing skills, you are encouraged to apply.
