Kwanza TV is looking for a competent, effective and energetic News Anchor Reporters based in Dar es Salaam
Job Title: News Anchor Reporters (2 positions) 
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Overall Responsibility:
The News Anchor Reporter serves as the primary presenter and collector of news stories and other content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers. 

Specific Responsibilities:
  1. Demonstrate compelling storytelling ability using dynamic live shots and stand-ups, creative graphics, and use of digital and social media platforms
  2. Works with fellow reporters and producers in newscast production
  3. Regularly plans, gathers and assembles stories on day-of news or special project assignments
  4. Works with or without a cameraman to gather and edit compelling video and captivating sound
  5. Coordinates with producers to develop stories that go beyond surface details, that accentuate unique enterprise angles, and have exclusive content
  6. Develops and share with team a network of sources who provide tips, early access to information, and allow the reporter to break stories of significance.
  7. Will contribute pictures, video and text updates to mobile platforms consistently throughout the day
  8. Can juggle multiple stories and projects at once, demonstrates exceptional time-management skills by meeting all deadlines under extraordinary pressure.
  9. An ability to summarise information into easy-to-understand components
  10. Produce content for multiple platforms, including TV, internet, mobile, etc.
  11. Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards

Education, skills and experience:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Communication/Journalism or related degree
  2. 3 years television anchoring or reporting experience
  3. Solid vocal delivery, camera presence, and clear enunciation
  4. Ability to handle hard-hitting interviews or talk shows
  5. Strong user of social media
  6. Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar and organizational skills
  7. Promotes teamwork and maintains attitude of cooperation with all station staff
  8. Operate newsroom computer systems
  9. Ability to operate mobile transmission devices and use latest technology
  10. Has a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record
