Position: Sales Manager Chemicals & Polymers East Africa ( Tanzania & Uganda)

Currently we are hiring for the following position :- Sales Manager Chemicals & Polymers East Africa ( Tanzania & Uganda), as we are expanding our Team . 

JD – Job Mission:
Full ownership for Chemicals Distribution and stock and sales operations in Tanzania & Uganda respectively. 

Principal Responsibilities:
Expand the chemical business in the assigned territory with existing customers and look for new customer development.
Identify new products within the assigned segments and recommend to management for its addition with backup data after thorough market mapping.
CRM- Development & Deployment
a) Aggressive Business Development
Achieve Agreed Upon Targets
Create Product/Customer Matrix
  1. Tactical – Chemicals
    a. Achieve Chemicals Distribution Budget – Tonnage, Revenue & Gross Margins.
    b. Keep track of customer payments and help in its timely collections.
  2. Manage Costs
    a. Keep track of Clearing, Bond, Transport & Warehousing Costs and work towards its reduction.
    b. Recommend Credit Limits to management & work within the Same on its approval.
    c. Debtors & Stock Reconciliations.
  3. Manage Credit Risks :-Operate within assigned Credit Limits & Manage Default Risks
  4. Networking within the Business community & Keeping ears to the ground on Opportunities & business trends.
  5. Other Duties as Assigned

Educational Qualifications:
Science / Chemistry Graduate with local chemical Sales Experience – Bulk OR Specialty Chemical Sales preferably with some Polymer exposure. Working in a trading environment and any prior experience of working in the East African countries shall be an added advantage.
Job Location: Department : Chemicals & Polymers East Africa ( Dar Es Salam Tanzania & Kampala Uganda).

Knowledge & Experience:
  1. Knowledge of Business Development, Negotiation & Risk Management
  2. Ability to Analyze Sales Data
  3. Appreciation of Business Development Tools & Processes
  4. Professional Written & Verbal Skills
  5. Ability to Motivate the local sales Team
  6. 6 to 8 Year Experience with at least 4-6 Years of independent sales responsibility.
  7. Work Experience in Chemicals
  8. From Stock & Sales Background.
  9. (Responsible for Trading Business, Marketing of Industrial Chemicals).

Package can be offer – $1000/- to $1200/- USD with Bachelor Status plus local allowances and free furnished accommodation and transportation. If we can get a Gujarati candidate, then that will be added value. We need ONLY MALE candidate with Valid Passport.
