JOB OPPORTUNITY – HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
The Tanzania - Zambla Railway Authority (TAZARA) is a statutory institution owned by the two Governments of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Zambia on a 50/50 shareholding basis. Incorporated by the Acts of Parliament of the two contracting states, the Authority’s registered office is In Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with two regional administrative centres in Mpika, Zambia and Dar es Salaam. Some positions have fallen vacant in the Tanzania Region, in this regard, applications are invited from suitably qualified Tanzanian applicants, as follows.

Job Purpose
Provide effective day to day advice and support to Management and
employees on Terms and conditions of employment, application of Human
resources policies and procedures and all employee relations issues,
including disciplinary matters.
Main Duties
a) Maintaining staff data, both electronically and manually;
b) Compiling various reports on Manpower and Industrial Relations issues;
c) Ensuring the development of comprehensive best practices and professional human resources services to the organization;
d) Administration of employees’ social welfare and ensuring consistent
application of industrial relations rules and procedures to supervisors
and workers by providing correct interpretation of the Collective
Agreements, Labour Laws and other Regulations; and
e) Carry out any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
a) Degree in Human Resources Management/Public Administration or any Social Science;
b) Form four and six Academic Certificates;
c) Minimum experience of 2 years In Human Resources Management from a reputable organization;
d) Extensive knowledge in various practices of Human Resources Management and Labour Laws;
e) Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office applications;
f) A Master’s Degree would be an added advantage;
g) Not more than 45 years old.
