Position Chief officer: Mobile Financial Services
Job Country: Tanzania
JOB PURPOSE
As Chief Officer: Mobile Financial Services (MFS) You are responsible for growing and managing Tigo Pesa business and management of all resources under the MFS department as well as responsible for planning and execution of the company’s business strategy.

CORE TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategy
· Leads development of the strategic plan for the Mobile financial services business unit as well as the detailed operational plan
· Facilitates the execution of the strategy by working collaboratively with other Exco members and ensuring that strategy is communicated and understood through ought the organization
· Ensure that operational metrics are in place to measure performance and progress of the strategic goals
· Engaged external business, industry experts and government stakeholders on the opportunities and risks in the Mobile financial services
· Act as a key adviser to the CEO on changes in operation landscape, market reactions and global market trends

2. Operations Management
· Provide day to day leadership and management of the MFS business unit
· Design and enhance business operations and policies to help MFS expand into new regions
· Develop a strong risk and governance framework to ensure that MFS is compliant to regulations and company policies
· Develop and implement annual budget and operational plan
· Expand the current MFS product offering into financial services and insurance

3. People management/leadership
· Lead, Inspire and coach a team of high calibre professionals, creating succession to key roles in the department
· Provide clear direction in strategic goals, translating and positioning them into business performance measures
· Build strong relationship with key stakeholders and peers in the executive management
· Provide leadership and adherence to company Code of conduct, Anti-bribery and corruption, as well as Anti-money laundering

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Banking, Marketing or Business Administration.
• Master’s degree is required: Finance or Commercial.
• At least 7 years’ experience in senior management roles.
• Senior managerial experience with field and operation experience preferable in FMCG.
• Ability to produce accurate and timely information in a high dynamic work environment.
• Ability to communicate, influence, and lead teams
• Capacity to synthesize broad ideas into simple concepts to articulate proper communication to multiple audiences
• Ability to identify customer insights to be used as input for key initiatives or future strategy
• Mature ability to identify industry trends and customer insights as input for strategy going forward
• Strong numeric and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and ability to work effectively with a wide range of teams and people
• Be able to zoom-out to view the “big picture” while maintaining the capacity to zoom-in on key details
• Mature ability to work collaboratively with management teams
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to senior management
• Ability to coach and create high-impact leaders that build on positive teamwork and collaboration
• Full ability to speak, read, and write in English language is a must

Position: Head of MFS Partnership
Job Country: Tanzania
JOB PURPOSE
You are responsible for end to end ownership of the MFS Commercial Partnership, defining and delivering the MFS commercial strategy through working with the relevant partners. You will define the right partners, set of products, agreements, partner management, product design, and the revenue ownership.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet and exceed the revenue targets from the products launched with partners
Full expertise of managing the below at least:
1. Intelligent marketing and advertisement for partners (e.g. charging companies for advertisement)
2. Partnership with Master Card and Tutuka - VC and QR code companies
3. Micro-Loans providers
4. 2nd wallet loan products
5. BTL & ATL commercial activities, to upsell and cross-sell new products
6. Segmentation and product design
7. Merchant Solutions
8. International Money Transfer Players (Such as: TransferTo, Western Union, TerraPay etc.)
9. E-payment Solutions (PayPal, Google Play…etc.)
10. Managing the wallets for other operators
11. Interacting with consultants and research centers focused on MFS

Act as a single point of contact for the of the above partners
Design and manage the set of related products, whilst fully owning the customer life cycle, commercial agreement with the partner, contract management, SLAs, GTM plan, Product P&L, Annual Budget, Synergies with other MFS Products / Propositions, Channel Design for the products in hand
Lead the Partnership team and indirectly lead the technical, finance, commercial teams to support on the partner program
Ensure that at any point of time, Tigo enjoys a competitive edge on the partnership network / products offered through partners – compared to the market
Develop a partnership network than can efficiently serve the Millicom Operations across the footprint
Capable to exponentially grow the MFS revenues driven from partners

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
7+ years of experience in MFS, Financial Services, Finance and Product Management
Proven track of success in managing commercial units
Full understanding of the MFS importance / dynamics in the Tanzanian Market
Capable of managing complicated legal agreements
Capable of delicately managing world leading players such as Google, PayPal, Master Card, Western Union and more in a way that would maximize Tigo Tanzania benefits whilst having an excellent relationship with those players
MBA, CFA, CMA is a plus
Ability to engage in effective and persuasive negotiations and strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure, stretched targets and time constrains
Strong communication skills whilst being capable of modifying his / her messages to fit different levels in the organization
Ability to achieve results through others, rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Excellent comprehension of English is mandatory
Experienced with the Tanzanian market
Ability to indirectly lead cross-functional teams
