Job Title: Child Friendly Spaces Project Assistant (03 Positions)
The
Child Friendly Spaces Project Assistant will implement activities at
the Child Friendly Space in Nduta final delivery point during the days
of food distribution.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Ensure that the child –friendly space atmosphere is safe and child- friendly for all the children.
• Supervise and support children’s play activities at the FDP during food distribution days.
•
Conduct a daily assessment of the children and ensure a variety of
structured games and activities within the Child Friendly Space.
• Ensure that all the needs of children are catered for with regards to different ages, genders and abilities.
• Ensure that children feel comfortable, safe, and respected.
Recommended:
• Establish a rotation system to promote the sharing of equipment and games between Children
• Be a positive role model and demonstrate conflict-solving behaviors.
• Ensure that all games and equipment are accounted for and stored securely at the end of the day.
•
Liaise with parents and the community regularly to keep them informed
of any developments or problems within the Child Friendly Space and
surrounding areas.
• Monitor protection needs and gaps in and around the Child Friendly space.
Recommended:
Qualifications and experience
•
Degree/ Diploma in sociology, psychology, social work or related field
International Development, Social Science or related field or
significant relevant work experience
•
At least 2 year’s working experience in a similar role with a good
awareness of current issues in the field of development, emergencies and
familiarity with children’s issues in particular
•
Experience in facilitating the implementation and monitoring of
community managed projects with an NGO environment and computer
literate.
