Job Title: ACCOUNTANT
Job Summary
TGT is recruiting a full time Accountant who will be based in Dar es Salaam.
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor
Experience Level: Management level
Experience Length: 5 years

Roles and Responsibilities of the Accountant are to:
Establish, monitor, review and ensure implementation of accounting policies, procedures, controls, systems and operational strategies to provide efficient accounting reports to the board and donors.
Prepare and monitor annual budgets.
Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
Oversee the financial operations of the organization and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices including cash management, payroll, financial disbursements, ledgers etc.
Record financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for the organization.
Prepare and maintain donor agreements and staff contracts.
Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to the organization on budget, revenues and expenditures.
Prepare the annual financial statement of the organization.
Read Also:
Obtain approvals from the CEO and donors on all procurement and purchases for the projects and organization.
Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the fiscal year.
Prepare donor financial reports and timely submitted to Donors.
Coordinate with the internal and external auditors during audits and prepare audit financial reports.
Provide financial inputs for proposal development, project management, , logistics, travel and other areas of administration.
Develop Human Resource Management policies and manpower planning.
Assist CEO in the preparation of Board Papers.
Education and Experience:
At least a degree in Accounting from a recognized University.
Must be Certified Professional Accountant (CPA T).
At least 5 years experience in Accounting.
Experience in micro lending accounting and reporting.
Experience in Human Resources Management and Administration.
Experience in project accounts and resource mobilization will be an added advantage.
