Job Description
Call for Experts
Farm Africa Tanzania is currently looking to engage international and national development experts for short and long-term assignments with significant technical expertise in the following areas:
· Agriculture value chain analysis and development
· Market systems analysis and M4P
· Investment, business climate reform, policy
· Agribusiness (esp. MSMEs), cooperative, and farmer group capacity/enterprise development
· Access to finance
· Youth and gender specialists
· Job creation
· Technology and digital solutions for agriculture development
· Monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management and communications

Aligned with the Government of Tanzania priority areas, we specifically are seeking experts with experience in the following value chains: Coffee, Cotton, Cashew, Grapes, Oil Palm, Sesame, Dairy, Beef, Bee keeping, and Fisheries.

Your profile would likely include:
· Minimum of seven years’ experience working in agricultural development, value chains, enterprise, access to finance and/or agribusiness;
· In-depth technical knowledge related to value chain development;
· Professional experience in Tanzania is highly preferred. Experience in sub-Saharan Africa is required;
· Post-graduate degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Business administration/management, Economics, Rural development / livelihoods, or other relevant fields;
· Fluency in Swahili and English required;

This work is contingent upon funding for existing and future assignments. Specific Terms of Reference will be developed for each assignment. This call aims to establish a roster of interested experts capable of providing additional technical expertise and surge support. We are predominantly seeking individual experts, however are willing to consider collaborating with local consulting firms and organisations.
