HR AND ADMIN MANAGER
DUTY STATION:
Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Leading and directing all human resource roles, activities and providing guidance in overall administrative policies and strategies in order to support smooth running of the SACCOS’s operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist management to identify optimal staffing needs in line with the strategic plan
  • Coordinate recruitments including, interviews, tests, reference checks, plan and conduct induction and on-boarding of new employees.
  • Ensure timely and accurate deductions of statutory requirements (PAYE, NSSF, WCF, SDL)
  • Develop and monitor implementation of effective human resources strategies and policies in line with the SACCOS strategy. Maintenance and update of staff records
  • Payroll management
  • Advise management on staff motivation and retention measures
  • Coordinate performance appraisal/management and training needs assessment on annual basis
  • Assist line managers on disciplinary and grievance matters in line with the policies
  • Advise on HR regulations and ensure compliance
  • Management of training in line with the training needs assessment, approved programs
  • Manage employee relations, welfare, safety, and health to foster a conducive work
  • environment and ensure legal compliance. Procurement/supplies management as guided by the management
  • Plan, coordinate all logistics and requirements for the staff events
  • Facilitate proper records management and safe custody
  • Coordinate and supervise the administrative function and outsourced services of the organization including security services, management of the office premises, facilities and all office equipment and property and ensure safety in the work place and provision of working tools.
  • Carries out any other duties as may be assigned by SACCOS Board.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or in social science or related field.
  • MBA/MSc -HRM Option an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge of computer applications.
  • Knowledge of the current Tanzania Labor Laws

GENERAL MANAGER (GM)
DUTY STATION:
Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION.
The purpose of the position is to ensure maximum utilization of available resources and explore all potentials that will create values to members and Ngome SACCOS growth and maximization of SACCOS wealth and control all Revenue and Expenses.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee effective and efficient implementation of the SACCO’s short- and long-term plans, and enforcement of relevant legislations, rules and regulations pertaining to the Cooperatives missions
  • Ensure various resources are identified, deployed and managed effectively to achieve positive results on attracting new members and increase financial liquidity and capital.
  • Ensure existence and best practice of SACCOS Mission and Vision with implementation of policies and strategies to attain SACCO’s objectives.
  • Champion in all issues related to product development, innovation, market penetration, legal matters and use of technology to meet customer’s satisfaction.
  • Collaboration with Board to undertake all human capital issues including staff motivation, financial discipline and capacity building to staff and members.
  • Advise the Board on investment decisions.
  • Establish, implement and enforce a robust SACCOS wide risk management framework and systems (policies, processes and tools) covering operational risk, market risk, credit risk, legal risk and other risks.
  • Corresponding with other stakeholders and SACCOS management on amendments of available bylaws and regulations by introduction new laws aiming at smooth running on daily operations and portfolio growth.
  • Administer preparation and manage SACCO’s budgets and financial projections and advise on appropriate approaches to minimize cost and maximize profit, oversee all complhance issues and ensure that are done timely.
  • Representing the society in business transaction and any other transactions as maybe authorized by the Board. Secretary to the Board Meetings and carrying advisory role to the AGM meetings,
  • Representing NGOME SACCOS to external forums and other networks including government institutions as directed by SACCOS Board.
  • Carries out any other duties as may be assigned by SACCOS Board pursuant to regulations 27 of Microfinance 2019.

COMPETENCIES:
  • Excellent team player with great interpersonal skills.
  • Computer experience and proficient in Microsoft products such as Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • A good knowledge of the Cooperative sector and how it is organized in Tanzania Result oriented
  • Good communication skills (Fluent in English and Kiswahili both oral and written) and a keen attention to details.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, strong belief in serving customers Able to interact with officials at the highest levels of Other Co-operators, Government, civil society, and the private sector.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Holder of Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Strategic Studies, Cooperative Management, Finance, Project Management or Microfinance from recognized institution.
  • At least Five years working experiences as a manager in reputable organization, working in Micro Finance institution will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with only minimum supervision with integrity, creativity and honesty.
  • Computer experience and proficient in Microsoft products such as Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

REMUNERATION:

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to successful candidates
