Position: Assistant Sales Representative (5 Posts)
Job Opportunity: Assistant Sales Representative – The Guardian Ltd (April 2025)
The Guardian Ltd, a leading newspaper company in Tanzania, is looking for Assistant Sales Representatives from Mbeya, Iringa, Morogoro, Tanga, and Mwanza. This role focuses on increasing circulation sales, advertisement sales, and e-paper subscriptions, contributing to business growth in the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive newspaper sales, subscriptions, and e-paper growth in the assigned region.
• Identify and acquire new advertising clients for print and digital platforms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, agents, and corporate clients.
• Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and industry trends.
• Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain accurate sales records.
• Work closely with internal teams to implement sales and promotional strategies.
• Provide regular sales reports, performance updates, and recommendations.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Must be a resident of Mbeya, Iringa, Morogoro, Tanga, or Mwanza.
• Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related field.
• Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the newspaper or media industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet or exceed sales targets.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office and digital sales tools.
• Familiarity with the local market in the assigned region is an added advantage.
