Position: Trainee Technical EngineerDepartment: Engineering
Location: Dar es salaam
Reports To: Technical engineer
Purpose of the Role
The Trainee Technical Engineer will collaborate closely with the technical engineer inthe design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technical systems and equipment for Safer Power Company Limited, focusing on solar energy solutions. This role involves ensuring optimal system performance, adherence to industrystandards, and providing technical support to clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
System Design and Planning
- Design and develop solar PV systems tailored to client needs, considering site conditions, capacity requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Perform technical site assessments and feasibility studies.
- Create system layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of solar energy systems, ensuringcompliance with technical and safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on installed systems.
- Provide technical guidance to the installation and maintenance teams.
- Offer training sessions to clients and stakeholders on systemusage and best practices.
- Ensure all projects adhere to industry standards, company policies, and local regulations.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections during and after installation.
- Work closely with the sales, marketing, and customer support teams to address technical inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance, project progress, and technical issues.
- Stay updated on the latest solar energy technologies and industry trends.
- Recommend improvements to current systems and processes to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable energy or Equivalent, specialization in business marketing and sales experience will be an added advantage.
- Proven knowledge and experience in solar products andsystems
- Excellent communication in both English and Swahili with interpersonal skills.
- Persuasive and deal closing skills.
- In-depth knowledge of solar energy products and services.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
- Must have teamwork spirit with low supervision and ability towork fast , independent and proper.
- Must bear the positive attitude and cooperative mindset
- Willingness to travel both upcountry as may be, the position is based in Dar es salaam. Travel may be required for client meetings, conferences, and other business-related activities.
