Requirements:
- Desired candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree In accounting or finance and a professional qualification in accounting and/or Internal Audit (CPA,CIA, ACCA ). Being a member of the professional accounting body (NBAA ) is preferred.

Job Purpose
To provide an objective appraisal of the financial and operational activities of the
Bank and ascertain that its systems of internal controls and processes are
adequate, effective and efficient. To review financial and operating procedures and internal controls and to manage and coordinate efforts in the administration of regional inspection and audit functions in the formulation, implementation and maintenance of those procedures for continuous improvement and in order to safeguard against waste, fraud and avoidable loss and
to achieve efficient use and utilization of the group’s resources and assets.
Duties
- To plan and coordinate audit assignment execution for diverse operations of the Bank.
- Take a leadership position in both routine and special audit assignments for the Bank.
- Conduct spot check, concurrent and periodical audits, and control related assignments such as
- participation in projects as necessary for the Bank.
- Review of accounting policies, ascertaining their adequacy and compliance with set standards
- / best practices and issuing appropriate reports periodically.
- Assist HOD in on-the-job training, mentoring and appraising of the Audit team members based
- on the audit assignments conducted.
- To liaise with the HOD and HR in the maintenance of good employee relations and employment practices to ensure high degree of morale and discipline at all times.
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and a professional qualification in accounting
- and/or Internal Audit (CPA,CIA, ACCA ).
- Being a member of a professional organization such as NBAA is preferred. Certification by Institute of internal Auditors (CIA) would be an added advantage. An MBA will be an added advantage.

Job Purpose:
The primary responsibility is to control Credit Risk in the loan book of the Bank, which includes review of Credit Assessments (CA), remediation of high-value under-performing accounts, and monitoring and control measures to be adopted with the highest standards.
Duties:
- Review Credit Risk parameters within each Credit Application prior to submission to the Management Credit Committee, identifying credit risk elements and ensuring such elements are minimized, mitigated, and controlled, leading to overall high-standard credit quality of the portfolio.
- Manage high-value under-performing accounts, including renegotiations, restructures, and workouts, with the goal of returning business and retaining the accounts in performing status.
- Undertake close monitoring of the overall portfolio, detect early warning signals and portfolio quality deterioration, and ensure actions are taken by business units accordingly.
- Continuously improve the quality of the credit control framework.
- Provide enhanced supervision on low-rated, stressed, and watchlist accounts, including NPAs.
- Reviewing business viability via examinations of historical performance to identify the root cause of poor performance
- Reviewing projected financials
- Physical visits to clients
- Inspection of collaterals
- Frequent meetings with clients
- Engaging relevant service providers such as lawyers, fund raising agents, valuers, investigators, and auctioneers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Economics, or similar
- Master’s degree or Post Graduate Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or related subjects is an added advantage
- At least 5 years of banking experience in the Corporate/Credit Lending units in a leading bank in Tanzania
- Strong evaluation, communication, and reporting skills
- Solid experience in credit analysis
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
- Debt structure and covenant setting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, Loan Origination Systems (LOS), and Core Banking Systems (CBS)
