Job Overview
Land Surveyors are responsible for measuring and mapping land areas, determining property boundaries, and providing essential data for construction and land development projects. They use a variety of tools and technologies to ensure precise measurements and accurate mapping.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting Surveys
- Perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction surveys to determine land features and boundaries.
- Gather data on land features, including distances, angles, elevations, and property lines.
- Prepare detailed maps, sketches, and plans based on survey data.
- Utilize advanced surveying equipment such as GPS, theodolites, and laser measuring systems.
- Analyze survey data to determine land characteristics and provide accurate information for planning and development.
- Keep accurate records of survey data, maps, and legal descriptions.
- Work with architects, engineers, and planners to provide necessary survey information.
- Ensure all survey activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.

Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in land surveying or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proficiency in using surveying equipment, and knowledge of GIS software.
- Professional licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
