Organization Overview
Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA) is an Executive Agency under the Ministry of Health (MOH). The Agency is responsible for regulating quality, safety, and effectiveness of medicines, medical devices, diagnostics, biocidal, and tobacco products. In order to improve public service delivery, TMDA is managed as an Executive Agency in accordance with the Executive Agencies Act, Cap. 245, which was also amended in 2009.

Duty Station: TMDA Headquarters (HQ)
Duties:
- Program software using Laravel framework, ExtJs, MySQL.
- Demonstrate skills in mobile apps development.
- Participate in code reviews and software quality assurance.
- Assist in the design or improvements to web-based applications.
- Undertake web-based database administration.
- Perform any other task related to the field as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree from recognized institutions in one of the following fields: Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Programming.
- The candidate must have two (2) years’ experience in software development.
General Application Conditions
- All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens not exceeding 45 years of age.
- Applicants should attach a detailed CV with valid addresses and telephone numbers, as well as the names of three reliable referees.
- All applications should be accompanied by professional certificates, descriptions, and copies of certificates certified by a Lawyer/Attorney, including:
- Birth certificates.
- Form IV and Form VI examination certificates (for those who have reached that level).
- Certificates of various training courses based on the qualifications of the relevant job.
- Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates.
- Computer Certificate.
- Professional certificates from respective boards where applicable.
- “Testimonials,” “Provisional Results,” “Statement of Results,” or Form IV and Form VI results slips will not be accepted.
- Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
- Job applicants already employed in entry-level positions in the public service should not apply.
- Submission of false information and credentials will result in legal action.
