Overview
Total Exploration and Development Uganda Limited (TEPU), CNOOC Uganda Limited (CUL) and the Government of Uganda have discovered crude oil in the Lake Albert area and want to develop and build an oil pipeline to connect production from the Kingfisher area to Buliisa-Nwoya area of crude oil is exported to the international market.
 
The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is part of the Lake Albert Development Project, a 1,443-kilometer transnational long-distance pipeline development project that can transport crude oil from Uganda to Tanga Port on the east coast of Tanzania .
 
The EACOP system is divided into three components, above ground installations (AGIs), pipelines and offshore storage terminals (MST).The above ground installation (AGI) consists of 6 pumping stations (PS-1 to PS-6) and 2 pressure reducing stations (PRS-1 and PRS-2) along the pipeline route.
 
The pipeline consists of 1,443 kilometers of 24-inch continuous heated export pipelines, connecting the Kabaale hub pumping station (PS-1) in the Hoima region of Uganda and the Tanga region storage reservoir in Tanzania . The pipeline includes all intermediate valve chambers , electric heat tracing (EHT) systems, high voltage distribution (HV) and fiber optic (FO) cables and related equipment, as well as the EHT substation.

1. HDPE & PU Operator

Position: HDPE & PU Operator

Job Description: 

• All field joint insulation operators (HDPE welding and PU operating) shall know well about the requirements of field joint coating & insulation system. And well skilled to operate HDPE welding machine and PU foaming machine
• Master and be familiar with performance and blending ratio to ensure product quality.
• Independently proficient in operation, repair and maintenance
• operator should strictly follow the repair items on the repair work order and complete the inspection work.
• The workstation should be cleaned in a timely manner, and tools and equipment should be neatly placed.
• Protective equipment and labor protection equipment must be worn during the painting process.
• Strengthen self-inspection and mutual inspection to ensure product quality meets standards.

Job Requirements: 

• Basic mechanical and chemical background
• Good English communication skill
• Minimum 3 years of painting or relative working experience.
• 4. Driving license class F and E
• Able to accept the nature of the project’s work.
• Good interpersonal skills & ability to work within a team and individual.
• Those with experience in petroleum pipeline or construction related industries are preferred.
• Flexible and adaptive- work in different places and with different people.
• Should have good physical condition, free from infectious diseases and other diseases.

2. DRIVERS

POSITION: DRIVERS

• Safely transporting company staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
• Assisting with the loading and offloading of staff luggage, products and materials.
• Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.
• Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.
• Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
• Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance.
• Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings.
• Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management

Job Requirements:

• Good English communication skills
• Ideal Candidates Should Possess a working experience not less than 3-5 years in the same role.

3. Foreman Coating

Position: Foreman Coating

Job Description: 

• Responsible for organizing and coordinating FJC field joint coating and insulation activities within the assigned area. Support the Chinese team leader in managing team personnel to ensure construction progresses in an orderly manner according to the schedule.
• Strictly follow quality training requirements and organize the execution of construction tasks to ensure that anti-corrosion and insulation works meet project specifications. Promptly organize rectifications and report key quality issues when identified.
• Strictly implement the company’s and project’s HSE management systems.
• Ensure daily pre-work safety briefings, toolbox talks, and risk reminders are conducted. Supervise workers to wear PPE correctly,
• prohibit unsafe behaviors, and ensure all construction activities are performed under controlled conditions. Assist the Chinese team leader in managing the attendance, performance, and task assignments of local crew members. Help manage daily usage and registration of tools, equipment, and materials on site to prevent waste and loss of resources.
• Take preliminary actions to address on-site problems and promptly report important issues to superiors.
• Organize and participate in technical and safety training, as well as the communication of operating procedures, to improve the overall competency of the team. Provide induction guidance to newly arrived workers to ensure they understand the FJC process and safety requirements.
• Be familiar with site emergency response procedures and possess basic capability to handle emergencies.
• Strengthen communication and coordination with other local teams, QC, HSE, and engineering departments to ensure smooth construction progress.

• Assist to oversee all HR/IR related matters.
• Implement LMP at CPP sites.
• Recruitment and onboarding process
• Participate proactively in local and expatriate staff consultative committees; schedule and organize
• meetings, research and deliver responses to requests/queries received, complete the Minutes of Meetings (MOMs) and circulate to participants.
• Provide training to employees.
• Conduct disciplinary actions.
• Maintaining employee records and preparation of HR/IR reports.
• Monitoring employee performance.
• Monitor sub-contractor HR/IR performances
• Ensure CVs are collected from the lockbox placed at the village offices during the recruitment processes.

• Familiarity with the Labour Act and its application in project environments. Strong knowledge of grievance resolution, recruitment, and industrial relations.
