Said Salim Bakhresa & Co. Ltd (SSB) is seeking a
highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Officer to join its
finance team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This role offers an excellent
opportunity to grow in a dynamic and supportive environment while
gaining exposure to diverse tax and compliance matters across group
companies.Position Details
Position: Senior Tax Officer
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Key Responsibilities
- Compute and file various tax returns, including VAT, WHT, corporate tax, payroll tax, and others.
- Prepare documentation and provide support during tax inspections.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities such as TRA and BRELA.
- Assist the finance team in completing various tax-related tasks.
- Support group companies in their tax compliance and related matters.
- Perform account reconciliations related to tax purposes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in tax computation, filing, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and regulations.
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
