1.Ensure that all procedures and processes within Trade Services Unit comply with Risk management / policies
2.Ensure that all transactions within Trade Service Unit are processed in a manner which meets agreed service standards in order to enhance quality customer service
3.Drive service quality initiatives for Trade Service Unit to achieve higher service quality standards
4.Continuously review and recommend changes in process flows of Trade Service Unit to achieve efficiency and maximum automation levels without compromising controls
5.Ensure that the bank does not suffer loss, financially, as a result of errors, delays and frauds in processing Trade transactions
6.Ensure daily review of all incoming SWIFT messages related to Trade and ensure immediate execution/ resolution where applicable.
7.Monitor expenditure to ensure services provided by Trade Services Unit are cost effective and within manageable levels
8.Ensure that all accounts which fall within the responsibility of Trade Services are reconciled and balanced in accordance with group guidelines and all outstandings are followed-up and resolved on a timely manner.
9.Ensure drawdown of Trade loans are in accordance to conditions set in the BCA and close monitoring in terms of repayment
10.Ensure Risk management and compliance including approving checks done by RP/Uorm.
11.Ensure close tracking of outstanding items in Nostro a/cs where any outstanding item should not exceed 3 days at any point of time without proper explanation.
12.Ensure Monthly Control Checks and KRIs are done and exceptions reported to BORG and where applicable to CORG
13.Encourage staff to engage in KYC campaign and meet required standard in understanding of frauds and money laundering
Knowledge and Skills Required:
1.Knowledge of Trade products
2.3 years in Managerial Post
3.Ability to handle issues independently and make decisions on variety of matters under varied circumstances
4.Good working knowledge of Risk Management
5.Customer oriented since primary responsibility is to ensure that the unit provides high quality customer service standards
6.Good analytical skills to understand and improve workflow in order to enhance efficiency and profitability
7.Effective people management and coaching skills
