Job Title: Operations ManagerLocation: Moshi, Kilimanjaro
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and control production to ensure efficient manufacturing.
- Monitor production KPIs such as output, downtime, yield, and labor efficiency.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production lines.
- Ensure product quality standards are met in line with all regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with Quality Control and Technicians to resolve quality issues.
- Manage and mentor supervisors and production staff.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee raw material planning and inventory control to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Work with procurement and logistics to ensure timely supply chain flow.
- Enforce safety protocols and compliance with OSHA or equivalent regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
- Monitor and control operational costs.
- Develop cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality.
- Prepare reports on production performance, labor utilization, and cost variances.
- Communicate effectively with senior management, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in operations, business management, or a leadership role.
- Industry-specific experience in manufacturing
- Required Technical & Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management abilities.
- Expertise in business process optimization, supply chain management, and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in ERP software, CRM tools, and data analytics platforms.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement.
